Rotary International South Asia Office Overview Rotary International South Asia Office (RISAO) provides services to more than 9000 Clubs and close to 3 lakh Rotary members spread in 7 countries in South Asia i.e. India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Maldives beside assisting Rotary International headquarters located in Chicago, IL, USA by providing guidance/dissemination of Rotary’s policies and procedures to Rotary leaders in South Asia, handles legal & stewardship issues & contributions received from India as well as financial reporting of Fiscal Agents in other countries in South Asia. General Overview This position supports the Financial Services team, responsible for Accounts Receivables at Rotary International. You will have the opportunity to processing contributions and donations received by Rotary Foundation (India) from Rotarians, clubs and districts in India and assist in handling all matters related to the contributions and maintenance of records of life insurance policies/wills etc. assigned in favor of Rotary Foundation (India) for benefactor recognition. Your contribution will serve to book receipts, payments, bookkeeping and accounting. You Will Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce is a must. Proficiency in computers, Tally and MS Office is required.
  • Minimum 1 year of related work experience required, preferably in an accounting environment with related organization/institution.
  • Good knowledge of accounting is essential.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Windows Suite. (Excel Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio), accounting software & Tally accounting.
  • Commitment to accuracy and attention to details are essential.
You Are Good At
  • Good written and verbal skills in English and Hindi are essential. Ability to understand and speak a local language(s) desired.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team.
You Will Be Responsible For
  • Process and account for all contributions for general giving, grants, benefactors, major donors, term gifts, endowment fund etc. in RF(I) in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure all details related to contributions and receipts in RF(I) comply with Indian GAAP, applicable local laws and RI policies and are uploaded in ‘Oracle within allocated timelines.
  • Processing the TRF contributions of all Fiscal Agents.
  • Sending 80G Receipts of all Contributions to Donors & 10 BE Certificates.
  • Reconcile bank transactions to receipts passed on a weekly basis for all inbound bank accounts. Send unknown credits aging report to TRF and CDS teams for resolution monthly.
  • Ensure that all detail of contributions received under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are being informed and reported as per the established policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate review of AR transactions, documents and books of accounts during statutory and governmental audits. Provide information for assessments and annual filing as required.
  • Coordinate queries from Rotarians, donors, officers of clubs & districts related to contributions, donations, and associated recognition.
  • Follow-up with the bankers with respect to any reconciliation items pending for clarification.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
