The Strategic Pricing Analyst helps to support the financial success of Fortrea by helping to ensure that previously established commercial terms are consistently applied to existing agreements and that pricing assumptions are followed in the onboarding of new resources. The Strategic Pricing Analyst sits within the Strategic Pricing group, primarily supporting a given Business Unit. The ideal candidate for this position is able to work independently, communicate effectively and manage workflow against deadlines. This specific role will have a heavy emphasis on data gathering, reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities:


These are the specific areas of accountability requiring decisions or delivery of results.

  • Create and analyze reports on monthly and quarterly basis to help track trends of several parameters within the team.
  • Reporting skills to generate data/metrics on monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Continuous enhancement and help improve process in and around reporting with advanced excel skills.
  • Contributes to process changes to support the business, while owning parts of the initiative/process change
  • Participates in Strategic Pricing initiatives.
  • Primarily independent worker
  • Leads meetings for all analytics related activities to ensure expectations are clear
  • Gathers, reviews, QCs and interprets data for periodic reporting (Monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc)
  • Performs and presents data analysis, as requested
  • Contributes to meetings and takes a portion of the work/project, which will support the entire project.
  • Must meet all deadlines and escalate as appropriate when a timeline may lapse.
  • Support the team to ensure the group is driving profitable business growth and meeting the business goals and objectives.
  • Analyze internal and external data in order to maximize/drive new business creation while also managing to margin targets.
  • Triage of opportunities within the Strategic Pricing team, including flow business and strategic accounts.
  • Attend and participate in internal review and prep meetings (Strategy calls, Challenge Calls, BD prep, Commercial Prep, etc.)
  • Participate and support initiatives as assigned
  • Develop presentations for Deal Review / Executive Sign-off calls as necessary
  • Support with tracking / metrics around MSA's, volume, CM etc. as assigned
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications (Minimum Required):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic qualification
  • Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements

Experience (Minimum Required):

  • A minimum of 5 years of financial background or an equivalent combination of education and CRO/pharma/other related experience to successfully perform the essential job duties
  • Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to be persistent while maintaining tact
  • Demonstrated computer skills - requires excellent MS Office experience (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of proposal management software applications (e.g., Salesforce.com, Qvidian, Proposal Automation applications) is preferred
  • Demonstrated text editing and writing skills (based on business unit and/or team expectations)
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, multi-task and prioritize
  • Demonstrated teamwork, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with internal stakeholders, clients and Fortrea senior management
  • Positive attitude and sense of urgency
  • Ability to work across Fortrea Business Units
  • Ability to provide limited team management activities
  • Ability to work irregular and/or extended hours as needed to meet the client's proposal deadline.
