Our client is seeking a meticulous and dynamic Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This role promises diverse exposure within the financial realm, from managing fixed assets to ensuring the integrity of financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Accounts Services Manager with month-end processes and a variety of financial operations.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and validate the accuracy of fixed assets, ensuring proper capitalization and balance checks.

Spearhead the maintenance of the fixed asset register and handle routine transactions with precision.

Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the company's chart of accounts.

Process and review journal entries meticulously, contributing to the integrity of financial data.

Collaborate with the team to uphold robust governance, systems, and controls, ensuring compliance and financial excellence.

Requirements:

Possess an Accounting Diploma or equivalent qualification.

Demonstrate at least two years of experience in a similar finance role.

Exhibit strong bookkeeping skills and an understanding of transactional processing.

Have a solid grasp of systems and financial controls, including policies and processes.

Proficient in MS Excel, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with keen attention to detail.
