Senior Quantity Surveyor
An opportunity has become available for a full time Senior Quantity Surveyor.
The team provide commercial services, working collaboratively with the wider team to efficiently delivery of a diverse programme of work within the West Hub team.
Key activities include the monthly assessment and certification of our Partners, payments for works done to date, adherence to framework contracts and their process and procedures together with monthly reporting and NEC4 change controls.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the team your key responsibilities will include:
* Assessment of the monthly application for payments for our contractors, verifying accuracy and compliance with contract
* Advising stakeholders where required on contractual and commercial matters.
* Issuing Purchase Orders, Task Orders and Call Off contracts.
* Assessing Application for Payment
* NEC Payment processes including detailed payment certificates and pay less notices.
* NEC4 Compensation Event
* Able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and delivery partners
Essential Skills:
* Stakeholder management experience
* Have a strong technical QS background; ability to prioritise
* Excellent communication skills
* Have a high level and proven track record of delivering to agreed timescales
Based in the Glasgow office. The candidate will be required to attend Office for work/meetings 1-2 days per week (subject to agreement with Commercial Manager), the majority of staff current use hybrid working and work remotely from home.
Laptop and IT to fully support remote working will be provided, returnable on completion of the contract.
Initial secondment period will be 6 months.
