Head of FP&A | North Manchester (2 days in office) | £70,000 - £80,000 + bonus | PE backed

Axon Moore are working exclusively with a PE backed business who are looking to add a commercially astute Head of FP&A to their team.

Due to internal promotion, we are looking for someone to head up the FP&A function, inheriting a team of 2 direct reports which is likely to grow to 5 as the business continues to grow both through organic and acquisitional growth.

Responsibilities include:

Business partnering with the wider teams to understand business performance and how this translates into the P&L, cash flow and balance sheet
Acting as a conduit between finance and operational teams to help drive profitable growth
Provide the Board with relevant and timely information to assess performance against the Group’s strategy and objectives.
Reviewing of commercial arrangements and business cases helping to inform decision making
Lead the annual budgeting process
Track performance against key targets and outcomes and produce regular corporate level management information to all senior management and the Board
Lead the FP&A team, including staff recruitment, staff development, performance management and task management.
Preparation of board materials including overseeing the preparation of monthly board packs
Regular reporting of market performance, looking at competitors, new business ventures
Working with the FP&A Director and other senior leaders, develop and maintain relationships with banks, PE house etc
Ideal candidate:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
An ability to present financial information to colleagues in a clear, concise and confident manner
Proven experience in finance business partnering, fostering collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders
Meticulous attention to detail.
Proven experience leading a small team
