Practice Accountant
Wigston, LE18
£27,000 plus, DOE
We are representing our client, a reputable practice with two offices in Leicestershire, which is currently undergoing expansion. An exciting opportunity has arisen at their Wigston branch for an Accountant.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess relevant and demonstrable experience gained within a professional firm. Qualifications such as being fully qualified, part-qualified, or having acquired substantial experience in the field will be considered. The ideal candidate should be proficient in the complete preparation of year-end accounts and tax returns for a diverse clientele including sole traders, individuals, limited companies, and partnerships. Strong familiarity with accounts preparation and proficiency in tax and accounts software is essential.

Responsibilities
- Compiling accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies up to the final review stage.
- Preparing both company and personal tax returns to the final review stage.
- Engaging with clients to address and resolve inquiries.
- Providing oversight and guidance to junior staff.
- Collaborating in workload management and task allocation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential: AAT qualified, experience in accounts preparation and related business tax computations.
- Desirable: ACCA/ACA qualified or part qualified, 3+ years’ experience in an accounting practice
