About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Financial Controller to join our dynamic agriculture business. This role is pivotal in supporting the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the agriculture industry, coupled with exceptional financial acumen and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IGAAP, Ind-AS, US Accounting Standards, and UK Accounting Standards.
  • Oversee the accounting function, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable(AP), revenue recognition, and general ledger(GL).
  • Implement and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Conduct regular reviews of financial transactions and reports to identify and address discrepancies.
  • Develop and document comprehensive business processes and accounting policies to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Develop and distribute informative financial dashboards to provide key performance indicators to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Coordinate and manageboth internal and external auditors. Lead the statutory and internal audit processes, ensuring timely closure and addressing audit findings.
  • Manage tax filings, including income tax, GST, and other relevant taxes, to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management strategies.
  • Manage the accounting operations for group entities in India and overseas, including subsidiaries, joint ventures, and associates.
  • Oversee the consolidation process to produce accurate and consolidated financial statements.
  • Lead and mentor the team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Implement innovative solutions to enhance data management and reporting.


Required qualifications:

• Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant) with 8 to 10 years of experience.

• Basic understanding of corporate law and secretarial practices will be an added advantage.

• Strong verbal and written communications skills.

• Detail oriented and organized.

• Computer literacy including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Experience in working with accounting software tools like SAP, Oracle, Etc.

• Strong planning and prioritization abilities.

• Must maintain confidentiality and discretion in all aspects and be comfortable with flexible working schedule to meet the needs of the Company.
