Opportunity
Associate Controller will be part of cost controlling and Accounts Payable organization and will work with wide range of stakeholders in and outside of the finance and operations organization to control and improve data quality of cost reporting.
Associate Controller will be responsible to ensure that the costs are complete, timely, accurate and well controlled from all business aspects. He / She will also be responsible for audit related to the Accounting for their respective business areas.
Associate Controller is expected to act proactively to search for and implement continuous improvements in controlling and revenue/cost leakages.

Key activities/responsibilities would be:1) Manage preparation of contract checklist2) Review & validate the cost records and analyse prospective risk3) Ensure all aspects of the contract with the partner are being followed and cost and revenue are being shared in accordance with the same4) Continuously doing transaction level audits for all operational and financial data under limited supervision and provide feedback5) Ensure all necessary controls are followed by execution teams6) Ensure accurate and timely cost reporting7) Develop recommendations and implement changes to processes and systems that will minimise risk, improve performance and productivityStandardize and align processes1) Financial educational background as Intermediate - Cost Accountant, Intermediate Chartered Accountant or equivalent degree in Finance and Accounting and good understanding of control framework2) Minimum 6 years of qualification experience within cost controlling, month end close activities etc3) Self-motivated and continuously looks for opportunities to improve financial reporting and processes by exploring new approaches and ideas4) Excellent analytical and structured working method5) Ability to handle phases with high workload and unplanned activities6) Team player - works together with others to achieve resultsShipping/ Transportation industry experience would be an added advantage but not mandatory
