Description
Job Purpose:
To enhance the efficiency of the business by providing accurate and timely financial and strategic support to the Finance Director and Executive members, with a strong focus on costing within manufacturing, stock, and manufacturing reconciliations.
Minimum Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12
BCom Management Accounting or BTech Cost & Management Accounting
5+ years relevant experience
Proven experience and track record in a manufacturing environment, with extensive involvement in costing and bill of materials (Highly Advantageous)

Main Responsibilities:

Align Finance and Manufacturing to the company's vision.
Preparation and presentation of Monthly Manufacturing Statements, including detailed analysis of total company performance.
Support Sales and Marketing with new product costing, ensuring accurate and comprehensive costing data.
Monitor sales margins, report variations, and suggest corrective actions for negative variances.
Prepare and present Annual Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts.
Manage month-end reporting for manufacturing, including reconciling stock sub-ledger to the General Ledger.
Manage and lead the Costing team.
Compile Export Selling price schedules for the Marketing Director.
Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and involvement in stock counts.
Prepare Purchase Price Variance reports and manage related Master data.
Provide strategic support and information to the Executives.
Participate in plant projects and feasibility studies, including post-project analysis.

Manufacturing Variance Analysis:

Prepare Monthly Manufacturing Variance Analysis, explain variances, and suggest corrective measures.
Distribute manufacturing variance reports and resolve queries.
Calculate actual cost of production for various projects and compare to standard or budget, suggesting measures for negative variances.
Monitor and analyze plant efficiencies, proposing solutions for budget variations.
Calculate and present Labour Efficiencies and Scrap Reports on a daily basis.

Bill of Materials (BOM) Management:

Maintain and manage Bills of Materials and Inventory Items in the JDE Manufacturing module, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Manage JDE Manufacturing variances and their interface with the General Ledger.
Compile and present stock and manufacturing reconciliations.
