Data Analyst
We are recruiting for a Data Analyst to join our Trading Team on a 12-month contract. This person will be focusing on our Transaction Costs Analysis (TCA) offering which will include day to day analysis and streamlining and improving the processes that are used. The role will be heavily data orientated, you will be required to understand FX trade data and cost analysis methodologies and components.
The successful candidate after 12 months will have contributed to the scope, design and implementation of a system to optimise the advancements of current methodologies to move this area of the business forward.
The Trading Team execute all of Record’s daily FX trades and other products, including futures, Fixed Income swaps, bonds and cash. The team have an in-depth understanding of the FX market and the range of FX trading strategies employed in each of the client portfolio in order to execute trades within them.

Key Responsibilities
- Understand FX trade data and cost analysis methodologies and components.
- Be able to undertake standardised and regular reporting of transaction data at the request of the Trading team, internal investment managers, and external clients through the use of internal data sets and third party trade analysis software.
- Contribute towards the streamlining, optimising, and advancement of current methodologies, templates and processes of trade data analysis
Requirements
- High interest in working with data
- First or upper second-class degree (or international equivalent).
- A Level in a mathematical subject, A grade or above (or international equivalent).
- A process driven and methodical mindset with the desire to evolve processes
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
