VetCT are recruiting for a group management accountant to join our amazing finance team!

This role will provide high quality support to VetCT's international group and all relevant stakeholders. Ensuring accurate and effective management along with financial information which is built around robust controls and processes.

Accountabilities
  • Responsible for preparation of integrated monthly management accounts for UK group companies including variance analysis, supporting schedules and commentary as applicable in the required timetable.
  • Preparation of departmental budget vs actuals.
  • Assist with preparation of integrated budgets and forecasts in a format and timescale suitable for group reporting.
  • Management and forecasting of UK cash balances.
  • Developing monthly management packs to adhere to group requirements.
  • Review of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Completion of all statutory returns required including VAT, intrastat and government statistics.
  • Assist with annual financial audits.
  • Assist with the implementation of and adherence to sound internal controls and fully documented processes.
  • Coordination of R&D tax credit information.
  • Mentoring and training of assistant management accountants.
  • Assisting with finance led projects.
  • Liaising with departmental stakeholders on budget and other matters.

Education
  • CIMA or ACCA qualified (finalist considered)
  • Educated to a good standard (A Level or equivalent minimum).
  • Previous experience within a similar management accounting would be desirable
