This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of the CRE Team which serves as a strategic partner to ThermoFisher Scientific around the world. The role requires someone with skills in relationship management, strategy / planning and property transactions.
The role will build positive relationships throughout ThermoFisher Scientific facilities management organization, finance leaders, business as will be their EMEA point of contact. All transactions require approval by ThermoFisher Scientific senior leadership, and this role will work closely with the Director of CRE and Business Transformation Office (BTO) to develop solid case which will include appropriate input from Internal CRE functional and external real estate professionals.
Responsibilities
- Driving multi-disciplinary real estate solutions for business challenges and initiatives across EMEA Portfolio.
- Driving EMEAs real estate planning process to develop short, medium and long term strategies that support business strategies by right-sizing the real estate portfolio, developing plans.
- Maintain robust model of the portfolio that maps both current and future supply to multi demand scenarios allowing "what If" scenario planning. Updating this information for the quarterly business reviews.
- Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with the various group and divisional business leaders across EMEA.
- Collecting, consolidating and disseminating key business data and intelligence to aid CRE in the development of overall portfolio strategy and operational plans.
- Using comprehensive analysis that draws on their expertise and that of the wider team to develop solutions to business issues to proactively find opportunities for the business to lower real estate costs or improve portfolio efficiency.
- Ensuring that CRE transaction strategy is aligned with business strategy and portfolio planning strategy and ensuring that the transactions that are completed conform with the goals of the agreed strategy.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a professional in Real Estate working in a role that requires them to influence outcomes in a multinational environment. Ideally this candidate will have experience in the geographic which they would be responsible for in this position.
Creative problem solver with strong financial savvy in terms of understanding how Real Estate deals can affect the P&L
Outstanding client engagement skills. A proven track record showing strong communications skills is also required. Previous experience with US headquartered organizations is also an advantage.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, business, finance/accounting; or a related area is required.
- Requires 10 years + of Real Estate related experience across EMEA.
- Experience in roles requiring client interface and commercial real estate transactions.
- Consultive approach plus relationship building experience with clients is an advantage.
- Experience across Commercial offices; Industrial and logistics and laboratories is helpful.
- Experience in Facilities Management; Project management and Change management are preferred
