Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Planning Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning, analysis, reporting and contributing to the strategic decision-making process of the organization. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support the achievement of business objectives. As a Listed company, the successful candidate will also be required to monitor performance against market expectations and to participate in discussions with analysts.

This is a new position which means that you will be able to develop your own models and tools to best achieve objectives, making it an exciting opportunity to really put your mark on the role!

The role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and working very closely alongside the two Finance Directors.

Responsibilities

• Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Develop, implement, and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, reporting and forecasting.

- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and present findings to senior management.

- Collaborate with the other financial leaders to monitor budgetary targets.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in financial planning and analysis.



• Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

- Work with the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to monitor actual performance against Plan and Reforecasts, providing monthly variance analysis and insights.

-Work closely with business leaders to develop key drivers of financial performance.



• Reporting and Presentation:

- Work with the Chief Financial Officer and the two Finance Directors to prepare and distribute timely and accurate financial analysis reports for internal and external stakeholders.

- Create and contribute to presentations for senior leadership, summarizing financial results and key performance indicators.



• Data Analysis:

- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to quickly identify variations in trends and deviations from Plans and Reforecasts and suggest actions to recover from or take advantage of any movements.

- Interpret and communicate complex financial data in a clear and concise manner for non-financial manager.

- Use a variety of tools and techniques, including graphics, to convey the results of financial analysis.

• Ad-hoc Analysis and Projects:

- Undertake special projects and ad-hoc analysis as required.

- Provide decision support through scenario analysis.



Desirables

• Professional qualification such as CA, ACMA, or equivalent.

• Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, ideally with exposure to financial planning and analysis.

• Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analysis tools.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial software.

• Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
