Would you like to work in an ambitious local authority council, looking to deliver strong public services? We are searching for the right person who has a willingness to develop their skills, study for AAT Level 3 qualification and help the finance department support the other services in the council. Do you have an interest in helping deliver strong public services such as planning, environmental health, waste services and collection of council tax?

Alongside this, you would be involved in the annual budget setting and production of the statutory accounts and delivering improvements on how we use our systems, making the finance team more efficient and effective in the work we do. You will be working with the accountants in all aspects of council finance giving you a great insight into local government finances!

As part of the finance team, we can offer you experience of all aspects of finance, including preparing budgets, budget monitoring and financial accounting, and the chance to be involved in some very exciting council projects.

We are looking for motivated individuals, who are keen to develop their financial skills and have an ability to manage themselves and their workload, within a constructive team environment.
