Our client; a professional organisation with a varied range of clients in both the public and private sector is looking for an accounts assistant/bookkeeper to join their team.
This is a new role due to growth and their ideal candidate should have good excel skills, as well as a keen interest in learning and developing a career in finance.
You will have a desire to work towards or already be working towards your AAT Level 2 certificate in Accounting. The candidate will be given full training and support in working towards the above qualification. The candidate must be detail focused and have a high level of accuracy when entering data.
Duties include:
Processing purchase invoices
Processing bank transfers as requested
Assisting with administering payroll on a monthly basis
Scanning, filing and logging account documents, maintaining electronic and paper files
Credit control including production of statements, chasing payments by telephone and email
Data analysis as requested mainly using excel.
Pulling reports from Xero and our internal management system as requested.
Key Skills:
Competent user of IT and Microsoft applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills particularly on the telephone
Personable and friendly
Accurate and precise
