About the role
As a Treasury and Tax Assistant, you will provide assistance on cash management, internal controls, risk management, and related analysis and recommendations. Assisting indirect tax compliance for the team, including preparing and submitting tax returns, is a key part of the role. You will also provide assistance with banking issues and forecasting, as well as e-commerce setup, banking administration, and bank KYC management. You will be a key player in developing new ways of managing tax compliance as the group continues to grow.

About the role
As a Treasury and Tax Assistant, you will provide assistance on cash management, internal controls, risk management, and related analysis and recommendations. Assisting indirect tax compliance for the team, including preparing and submitting tax returns, is a key part of the role. You will also provide assistance with banking issues and forecasting, as well as e-commerce setup, banking administration, and bank KYC management. You will be a key player in developing new ways of managing tax compliance as the group continues to grow.
- Experience with preparing and maintaining a weekly group cash forecast.
- Ability to liaise with other Finance colleagues and the wider business to make sure that inflows and outflows are tracked and support the preparation of the budget.
- Experience with daily reporting on cash balances and feeding this into relevant internal reports.
- Daily tracking of currency exchange rates and trends.
- Weekly/monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts.
- Assisting on KYC management with our banks and helping to maintain good banking relationships.
- Reviewing FX variances at month end, posting FX gains and losses and providing commentary in relation to month end cash balances.
About you
- Qualified or part-qualified in ACA, CIMA or ACCA
- Proactivity and desire to learn and strive for continuous improvement
- Excellent reasoning skills along with strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to operate effectively and prioritise in a busy corporate role
- Ability to communicate with and work closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analysing and problem-solving skills
- Being an Associate (or working towards a qualification) of the Association of Corporate Treasurers is desirable
