One of the primary roles of the Management Accountant will be drive improved reporting to support the business in its decision making.

Where you'll add value...

• Develop & maintain the cost accounting system, including involvement in the generation of new product costings.
• Ownership of the annual standard cost build process.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, and analysis of production costs / variances.
• Evolve internal reporting (reports / KPIs) etc to support the business, providing increased visibility on cost drivers, progress of cost reduction activities etc.
• Support Plant operations teams with identification, implementation and tracking of plant productivity projects.
• Capital investment process and appraisal prior to approval by management.
• Supporting the quarterly forecast process and annual budgeting processes.
• Provide support to the Finance team as required on various topics / projects.

The experience you'll bring to the role...

• A manufacturing/engineering background is essential.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Initiative, creativity and self-motivation are all essential attributes for success in this role.
• Ability to work comfortably under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and best practices

Preferred Education/Qualifications...

• CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified
• Business/finance degree
• 5+ years experience in a similar role within complex manufacturing, engineering or FMCG
