We are currently looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our fast-paced and dynamic team in Chirk, Wrexham.
As a Financial Controller, you will take on a pivotal role in our company. You'll develop and maintain our annual budget and 5-year plan, providing crucial financial direction. Your responsibilities will include overseeing all financial controls, governance, and policies, ensuring they remain in sync with regulatory updates and company values. You will create a strong, supportive team environment by mentoring colleagues and promoting continuous process improvements. You'll partner with all departments to identify profit improvement opportunities and cost efficiencies and empower department heads to become more accountable for their financial performance. Additionally, you will continuously seek ways to streamline and optimise the Finance Department's operations, deputising for the CFO as needed, and preparing financial presentations to support our investment plans.
Financial Controller Requirements:
* A relevant accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
* A proactive and results-oriented approach, with a passion for continuous improvement.
* Experience in leading and motivating a team.
