Founded in early 2000's, our client has grown into the UK's largest independent surfacing contractor, delivering projects nationwide for clients throughout the country. Job Type: Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 5:30
Salary:
£25,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience
Responsibilities:
• Build strong relationships with customer quantity surveyors and accounts departments to ensure prompt payment of invoices within terms.
• Evaluate and apply for credit limits with credit insurers, ensuring compliance with current spend and forecasted work.
• Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to effectively manage credit exposure.
• Maintain accurate records of customer communication related to debt collection.
• Resolve queries related to payments and outstanding invoices.
• Improve and implement debt collection processes for overdue invoices and initiate legal proceedings if necessary.
• Prepare statements and reports on high-risk situations and notify the Finance Manager and Board as appropriate.
• Coordinate with the finance team to allocate cash on ledgers, raise invoices, and record cash receipts on the cash flow.
• Handle general administration tasks required for credit control functions and record actions.
Skills:
• Ability to establish and maintain excellent client relationships at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile complex accounts.
• Calm and confident demeanour for handling potentially uncomfortable conversations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Meticulous approach to work and strong numerical accuracy.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving and changing environment.
