We are working in partnership with one of the UK's leading Housing Developers. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Assistant to join their supportive team in Exeter on a permanent basis. About the role:
  • Processing of customer care and preconstruction consultant invoices on monthly basis.
  • Check invoices are correct for VAT or materials/labour deductions for tax purposes.
  • Raising plant POs alongside the buying team.
  • Management of customer care cost recovery.
  • General administration tasks related to the commercial function as noted by the department heads.
  • Maintaining necessary systems to efficiently file and retrieve contracts/subcontracts and to allow others to do likewise in accordance with the Business Management System.
  • Assist with the issuing of sub-contract orders in accordance with Group Policy.
  • Dealing with general enquiries from other departments within the business.
  • Assisting QS's with payments if required.
  • Attend departmental meetings as required.

About you:
  • Minimum GCSE's or equivalent qualifications including Maths and English
  • Experience working in a commercial business environment
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent analytical skills and organisation
  • Strong mathematical and IT skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work to high degree of accuracy
  • Good telephone manner
  • Good team working skills
