Purchase Ledger Clerk - £26,000 - £27,500 depending on experience - Catterick Garrison

The Role

We are seeking an experienced purchase ledger clerk to join our Group finance team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will have day to day control for managing the purchase ledger in your area, and be part of a central finance team supporting all Group companies.

If you are organised, detailed orientated, and methodical with strong purchase ledger experience, then this is great opportunity to join a proactive, improvement focused and friendly team in a growing business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing product & overhead supplier invoices
  • Ensuring all documents are coded & processed correctly
  • Reconciling supplier statements & handling account queries
  • Setting up new suppliers & managing supplier relationships
  • Handling multi-currency transactions
  • Multi-currency bank account reconciliations
  • Raising and processing supplier payment runs & expenses on the bank & accounting system
  • Managing the accounts email inbox
  • Month-end duties as required

The Person

The key skills, knowledge and experience we're looking for are:
  • Minimum of 3 years accounting experience, ideally high-volume purchase ledger
  • Preferably completed or working towards AAT
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Excel
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Can work alone and use own initiative
