Are you an experienced Credit Controller / Manager looking for a new role in an exciting, global company? Shure UK is seeking a Credit Manager to manage the accounts receivable portfolio for their assigned region, including all collection and administration. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a German-speaking professional to make a significant impact.

You will coordinate with our US-based Risk Assessment team to determine credit limits and protect company assets by investigating and assessing the creditworthiness and risk of current and potential customers. The postholder will be responsible for examining and verifying information provided on customer applications, credit reports, and financial documents to accept or reject credit.

  • Interfaces with sales organization/internal support departments on a regular basis to communicate credit decisions, collection challenges, timely review of new customers, review orders on credit hold, expedited orders, and to find solutions to customer issues.
  • Provides analysis and interpretation of the customers’ financial status for proper evaluation of risk and the establishment of proper credit limits, requirements, and repayment schedules within designated approval levels.
  • Serve as first point of contact for Europe, MEA and Asia credit and risk management.
  • Manages and monitors the credit portfolio to meet DSO, delinquency, and collection effectiveness targets.
  • Initiate and implement continuous credit process improvements to meet key operational business needs while maintaining business controls within appropriate credit standards.
  • Makes independent credit decisions within designated approval levels, establishes new credit lines, and maintains existing accounts.
  • Negotiates documentation and payment terms with customers to ensure transactions are properly secured.
  • Develops and provides reports to management on outside credit inquiries, accounts for collection, bad debt write-offs, and monthly customer statement review.
  • Develops plans for mitigating bad debt losses. Analyses and reports on credit memo and write-off activity.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial finance/leasing environment with significant experience in a Credit Assessment and Collections role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German
  • Experience within the export business of goods particularly processing letters of credit.
  • Strong knowledge in credit assessment skills at both deal and portfolio level.
  • Has an in-depth understanding of industry practices, political and economic environments, company policies and procedures, and current laws across the assigned region.
  • Experience of vendor program structures wither in a sales or credit underwriting capacity.
  • Experience with business financial programs, SAP, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting financial statements, accounts receivable, credit management, inter-company reconciliation and monthly reporting.
  • Able to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data or situations requires evaluation of identifiable factors
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions for difficult assignments and of diverse scope.
