We are seeking a diligent and motivated Finance Associate to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will support a range of accounting and finance functions, including general ledger reviews, budget variance analysis, and financial reporting. This role is key for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing departmental expenditure, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our finance and business operations.
Key
Responsibilities:
* Review and analyze general ledger accounts to explain spending patterns and variances against budget and prior year figures.
* Collaborate with accountants to monitor and control departmental expenditure.
* Assist in preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
* Support the manufacturing budget process
* Participate in the costing process and provide coverage for other manufacturing facilities as needed.
* Engage in cost savings initiatives, attend relevant meetings, and drive actionable outcomes.
* Assist in setting standard costs and monitor performance
* Analyze scrap data and monitor the effectiveness of scrap reduction programs.
* Conduct production variance analysis and review bills of materials.
* Assist with stock-taking processes
* Participate in both external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
* Assist in the preparation of VAT data.
* Provide support across all areas of Finance as required.
Qualifications:
* Experience in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines.
* Background in manufacturing is preferred.
* Early stages for CIMA desirable
Skills:
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational and planning abilities.
* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly with advanced Excel skills.
* Strong problem-solving capabilities.
* Ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain attention to detail and accuracy.
* Self-motivated and flexible.
