Key requirements

5 years experience working at an accounting firm
Must have own PC/laptop with reliable fast internet
Proficient at English-written and spoken, level for professional office
In depth knowledge of bookkeeping and reconciliation
Computer literate with exposure to various accounting packages, payroll systems and good working knowledge of e-filing
Medium level of Excel knowledge essentials (Filters, Pivot tables)
Working knowledge of annual financial statements

Key responsibilities

Bookkeeping, recons, VAT prepare and submit
Payroll
Financial statements, ad hoc accounting related tasks
Secretarial-manage/update client management system
Basic CIPC updates
Regularly check e-filing system for Sars correspondence
Beneficial ownership updates-CIPC and Master
Assist with financial year end schedule and statements
