American Express Company seeks Directors, Risk Management to drive decisions related to credit line underwriting, and the design, build, and enhancements of credit line strategies. Improve capabilities and processes to manage and monitor risk prudently across the customer lifecycle relating to proprietary and co-branded credit cards. Partner with product, marketing, operations, technologies, finance, and other functional teams to develop lending growth strategies that serve the company's customer needs while minimizing credit losses.

Position requires a Master's degree in Finance, Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Operations Research, Business Administration, or a related field, and 2 years of risk management and risk analysis experience. Experience must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: credit risk data from credit bureaus and internal credit source, source systems, and data management processes; providing strategic guidance on risk information system implementation and enhancements, new data evaluation, and regulatory audit strategies; data analysis and transforming credit and risk capabilities using Big Data technologies, including Pig, Hive, and R; Base SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, SPSS, SQL, and Teradata; linear regression models, logistic regression models, and advanced machine learning models, including kNN, and GBM techniques; providing risk assumptions; and working with professional teams in multiple geographies. Telecommuting is available up to 3 days per week.

Job Location: New York, NY

Rate of Pay: $143,377 - $205,000 annually
