The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our client's team. You will be responsible for managing and preparing financial transactions, analyzing data and preparing financial reports. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment....OtherPreparing and maintaining financial records and documents accurately and timeously.
Responsibility for accounting processes and tasks (payments/fees/general ledger/account reconciliations).
Co-ordinating and liaising with internal parties to support intercompany activities.
Monitoring and analyzing financial data to identify discrepancies,
Preparing/assisting with the preparation of financial and departmentalreports/budgets/annual financial statements.
Assisting with the preparation of company taxes.
Ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines affecting the finances of thecompany.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting with Post Graduate Diploma or Honours inAccounting or similar.
Completed articles with at least 3-5 years' work experience in a similar role in the financial sector.
Solid knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, and an advantage if able to work with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Great Plains.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-starter who is able to plan, organize and take initiative to meet department/job objectives and deadlines independently.
Ability to work in a pressured environment.
