Job Description
A leading asset management firm, dedicated to making impactful investments across various sectors on behalf of public sector entities, is seeking an ESG Specialist to join the team in Pretoria. Driving the integration of ESG principles in investment decisions, ensuring compliance with the ESG governance framework, and promoting sustainable stewardship of investee companies.

Responsible for developing and implementing the ESG strategy, conducting ESG due diligence and portfolio monitoring, reporting on ESG performance, training staff and companies on ESG compliance, performing periodic impact analysis and research, managing resources and staff, and engaging with companies on ESGT issues.

Core skills required include corporate governance, knowledge of environmental and social legislative frameworks, ESG due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and an understanding of capital markets and investment management

Honours degree in ESG-related fields (Environmental, Governance, Social) and 5-7 years' ESG experience, MBA/MBL or ESG-related Masters is advantageous.
