A dynamic, highly respected firm of Chartered Accountants based in York, are recruiting for a Senior Tax Manager to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity to build your team and influence the direction of Tax accounting provision for the practice.

Reporting into the partners, the Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for:

• Management of the tax team, responsible for developing the department
• Managing and growing a portfolio of clients
• Undertake tax planning work for companies and individuals in relation to income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax
• Attracting new clients and contributing to the success of the firm
• Deal with more complex tax cases related to residency, R&D, remuneration planning and capital gains tax
• Provide advice and tax updates, as well as training and mentoring for your team
• Research more complex tax planning issues including EIS, EMI, share schemes, reorganisations, ERS etc.

To be successful in this Senior Tax Manager role, you must:

• Be ICAEW ACA CTA qualified
• Confident advising clients on tax matters
• Have a proven record as a team leader and enjoy managing and developing a team
• Have excellent IT skills including Excel and a range of accounting software
