We are actively looking for a Financial Controller to join an industry leading manufacturer on the outskirts of Wakefield.

The Role

Reporting into the Director and working on-site, duties and responsibilities of the Financial Controller will include:
• Full finance responsibility - ability to be hands on with production of. Reporting of information to group (weekly / monthly)
• Management of cash in the business including external financing facilities to cover decisions around payments to 3rd party and group suppliers
• Statutory accounts responsibility and company secretarial duties
• Budgeting and forecast for both P&L / BS / cash along with short term cash forecast
• Responsible for sign off on product purchase orders (driving stock management)
• Responsible for insurance (general business and credit insurance)
• Responsible for relationship with external finance providers
• Responsible for managing out IT relationship with external function.

The Candidate

To be considered for the role we welcome applications from candidates with the following:
• Technically strong
• Good with cash / working capital management
• Understanding of working capital finance facilities (invoice finance and stock finance)
• Flexible in approach with a commercial view / understanding for decision making
• Good at communicating up to the group board.
• Able to understand and support the operational areas of the business
• Good with systems (MS office, implementation will be beneficial)

Salary & Benefits

In return, the successful Management Accountant will receive the following:
• £60,000 - £70,000 base salary plus Excellent Benefit package
• Free on-site parking
