We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our client's dynamic construction services company as an Accounts Payable Assistant. With a legacy of delivering impactful and memorable places for people and businesses to thrive, our client is a global leader in the industry.

As the Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the smooth running of the Purchase to Pay system. You will be responsible for coordinating the processing of invoices, making payments, and managing queries from suppliers and internal customers. Here is an overview of your key

responsibilities:


Deputise for the Team Leader and manage the local accounts payable team in their absence
Act as the local superuser for both SmartSource and NAV systems, ensuring their smooth operation
Coordinate suggestions for ongoing process improvement
Ensure adherence to utility invoices processes
Timely resolution of queries, liaising closely with buying and commercial teams
Prepare payment runs and negotiate payments with Group Treasury
Process invoices through SmartSource and NAV systems
Assist with internal and external auditsTo be successful in this role, you should have demonstrable accounts payable experience and exposure to high transaction volumes. Strong communication skills and the ability to understand complex accounting transactions are essential. Additionally, you should have good planning and prioritisation skills, as well as a strong command of Word and Excel.
