Our client, a leading manufacturer and long-established in Durban, supplies the South African and International markets. They seek your financial expertise to manage the financial operations of the company, reporting to the CFO.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMinimum Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance essential.
  • C.A. (S.A.) equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience in financial management; preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial operations, ensuring financial reporting, compliance with financial and tax regulations, and effective management of financial resources.
  • Oversee the financial accounting, cost accounting, accounts payable and receivable, and financial analysis functions.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to support the company's goals.
  • Full financial management function, including GL maintenance, AP, AR and payroll.
  • Prepare and review financial statements.
  • General ledger and reconciliation management.
  • Compliance, auditing, and BEE management.
  • Financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong IFRS/GAAP adherence.
  • Cost accounting.
  • Tax compliance.
  • Budgets and forecasting for the Group.
  • Manage finance projects whilst collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Fixed assets and Capex management.
  • Fixed expenses and inventory management.
