ABOUT THE ROLE - NGĀ ĀHUATANGA O TE TŪRANGA

Leading a team of specialists, our Rates Manager will work collaboratively across the organisation to facilitate the best rating outcomes that create value for ratepayers and communities. This varied role has both a technical and people leadership focus, but effective relationship-building will be the key to your success.

As a senior member of the wider Finance Team, the Rates Manager will take the lead in providing subject matter expertise related to rates modelling, database maintenance and district valuations that is compliant with the Local Government Rating Act 2002. Equally important is championing a supportive, collaborative team culture in which knowledge sharing and professional development are promoted.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR - KEI TE KIMI MĀTOU I TĒNEI MOMO TANGATA

Our ideal candidate will be a rates/revenue specialist with experience working in local government and a thorough working knowledge of relevant legislation. You'll have exceptional interpersonal skills that will enable you to establish positive working partnerships at all levels of Council and with external stakeholders. You'll need to be flexible and adaptable to changing work priorities.

This could be the perfect opportunity for a senior rating professional to take the next step in their career! Confidence using rating, property and debt management systems will be essential - Technology One and/or IBIS experience would be advantageous. We're looking for someone who is willing to take ownership of the role and is focused on continuous improvement.
