Finance Business Partner

Hours of Work : 40 Per Week, Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 5:30pm

Talento Group is currently seeking to recruit a Finance Business Partner for our client in the Technology sector. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role partners with other business units to provide accurate, relevant, and timely information to aid decision-making and process changes.

Key Tasks & Activities

• Preparation of management accounts and accompanying commentary.
• Construction and presentation of budgets, periodic forecasting, and gap analysis.
• Involvement in the month-end process, taking closed ledgers through discussions with department heads to management accounts.
• Review of transactional data to ensure correct information is included in management information packs.
• Partnering with business units to provide insights for departmental improvements.
• Supporting data preparation for the year-end audit and liaising with auditors.
• Acting as the point of contact for external surveys.
• Conducting ad-hoc analysis as requested by the senior leadership team.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Ensuring good relationships with internal customers to facilitate the free flow of information and discourse.

People Focus

• Supporting internal teams with timely information and commentary.
• Collaborating with departments to compile budget data.

Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Focus

• Maintaining HSE training to the expected standard.
• Delivering high-quality information that is easy to use throughout the business and externally.

Finance Focus

• Monitoring KPIs in the management pack.
• Ensuring accurate classification and presentation of company management information.

Who We Are Looking For...

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

• Experience in a similar role with a relevant accounting qualification and a commitment to professional development.
• Excellent Excel knowledge.
• Skilled in presenting complicated data to non-financial individuals.
• Excellent attention to detail and data cleanliness.
• Strong negotiation and discussion facilitation skills.
• History of using and improving accounting software packages.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

• Line management experience.
• Experience producing year-end accounts.
• Experience running a year-end audit.
• Experience using Power BI, Sage, or similar software.
