Responsibilities:
Our client, a successful and inclusive organisation in the financial industry, is seeking a Financial Controller to join their team. As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the finance function of the organisation and play a vital role in producing timely management information for effective decision making.
Key
Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly management accounts within agreed deadlines and review against previous months.
• Own balance sheet reconciliations and process month-end transactions, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation journals.
• Oversee the work of processing staff for purchase and sales ledgers, providing support where necessary.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns for review prior to submission.
• Ensure accuracy of the company's system for production costings, stock, and customer management.
• Collaborate closely with department heads and the Retail Finance team.
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Experience in a manufacturing/production environment or the hospitality industry is preferred.
