Job Description

The Payroll Specialist provides support for all aspects of Payroll for Cielo. This self-motivated, detail-oriented professional serves in a hands-on role, coordinating the tactical aspects of HR and Payroll and assisting to drive strategic HR and Payroll programs. This dynamic professional is someone who thrives in a service-oriented, collaborative atmosphere and can seamlessly support multiple projects.
  • Location Specifics: Gurugram, India
  • Specific Needs: 1-3 years of experience in APAC & UK payroll
  • Language Requirement: Native Language; English
  • Position Setup: Remote
  • Shift Schedule: Mid shift (12:30PM - 9:30PM IST)

Payroll Support
  • Processing payroll based on regular payroll cycles per country and off-cycle payments as needed
  • Ensuring any timesheets are submitted and approved in a timely manner by employees and managers - This includes auditing both for completeness as well as trends and reasonableness.
  • Thorough review of payroll reports to determine any errors, executing, and when necessary, escalating corrective actions before payrolls are processed to ensure error free payrolls.
  • Ensure employee changes are included in payroll runs, accurately and are made on time.
  • Maintaining Payroll operating procedures, employee help guides, and make recommendations for improvements including practices and procedural changes resulting from regulatory changes.
  • Lead and assist with various audit and reporting requests.
  • Attention to detail required both from a processing and auditing perspective.
  • Provide world-class customer service to employees.
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of employees and mindset to educate and support employees with a sense of urgency
  • Monitor and respond to incoming requests to the Payroll team inbox in a timely and professional manner.
  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to organize and prioritize activities/work based on level of urgency.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

HR Support
  • Become a resource for employees, providing information and answering inquiries presented to the Payroll team mailbox.
  • Processing of employee changes.
  • Facilitate weekly audits of HCM system.
  • Assist with processing employment verifications.
  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures, employee handbooks, employee help guides, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Regulatory research assistance as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of rapidly changing HR regulations.
  • Attend weekly meetings to discuss activities and initiatives.
