Tim Brooks (Head of Financial Reporting) is on the hunt for a ‘Group Financial Accountant’ to come and join his talented and well-established team.
In role you will be assisting in the production of statutory and non-statutory financial reporting deliverables for the inclusion in external and internal publications. These publications include; statutory AR&A for the group, subsidiary financial statements, quarterly interim financial information, and other internal management information.
You will play a core role within the financial reporting arm of our Finance team, working closely with the wider team as well as autonomously. Furthermore, you will also work closely with colleagues throughout both financial and non-financial roles throughout the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a 2-3 years post-qualified individual, either as a first move from practice, or as a first move into the automotive industry.
We are on the hunt for a qualified chartered accountant (ACA/CA/ACCA) to come and join our Head Office team. Are you currently working within, or qualified from, a large accountancy firm? You could be our perfect match as we are ideally looking for an individual from an audit background. Do you also possess good technical knowledge and have experience of statutory accounts prep and consolidation?
From a behavioral perspective we would love to welcome an individual to the team who is hard-working and organised as well as can flex their personal and communicational styles. Working within the automotive industry it is also essential you’re able to adapt to changing environments very quickly! From a performance measure side, you must be able to deliver against internally agreed timetables and welcome feedback from both internal and external parties.

- Coordinating and day-to-day involvement in the statutory audit which incorporates:
- Working closely with external auditors to devise an effective and efficient audit approach across the group
- Delivering against reporting timetables
- Coordinating and resolving outstanding audit matters
- Preparing status reports of progress against timetables
- The end-to-end production of Group and Subsidiary financial statements which involves:
- The full preparation of period 13 adjustments to management accounts including: IFRS 16, IFRS 9, IAS 19 and tax
- Formalising additional statutory disclosure notes
- Liaising with other internal and external stakeholders regarding other front-end disclosure information in the group AR&A and subsidiary financial statements
- Quarterly reporting
- Preparation of condensed consolidated interim financial statements at quarter ends
- Facilitating the external auditor’s interim reviews, including provision of analytical review commentary and review of divisional commentary submissions
- Providing an insight and input into the Group’s continuous evolutionary improvement of systems, controls, and governance
- Involvement in annual budgeting process
- Involvement in monthly Board reporting
- Involvement with other ad-hoc finance-related projects
