The Role
We are seeking an Experienced Accountant to join our team. In this role you will be working with our growing portfolio of clients with responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with well-known accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, etc...
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Review and reconcile the general ledger accounts
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Prepare and process payroll
- Maintain general ledger and perform month-end close activities
- Generate financial reports and oversee the preparation of management accounts, forecasting, budgeting and cashflow management
- Ensure that clients’ deadlines for filing statutory accounts and other filing such as VAT are met and compliant
- Preparation of Corporate and Personal Taxation Computations and Returns
- Correspondence with clients and agencies such as the HMRC
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Assist clients with day-to-day queries
- Manage and coach a small team
- Ad hoc projects and tasks as required to meet business needs
Ideal Profile
We would love to hear from candidates who have the following experience and abilities:
- Completed and accountancy qualification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
- Willingness to travel to London, Leeds and client office as required
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Proficiency in Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or other accounting software
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience working in practice supporting multiple clients
