We have exclusively registered a Management Accountant position for a well established Manufacturing business in East Lancashire. This business is financially stable with projected growth, has multiple sites, operates internationally and has a really friendly finance team. Their finance team is situated globally, but they are transitioning some of the reporting staff to their Accrington site and as such this is an addition to their Accrington team.

Working in a team of 11, reporting to the Finance Manager, you role will be responsible for the management accounts of 2 entities for the business supported by an assistant accountant whom you will directly manage. This will include maintenance of the ledger accounts and financial statements to transactional level, producing a detailed P&L variance analysis, managing cashflow, year end audits, and other ad hoc projects. You will also work closely with operational staff essentially business partnering to improve profitability, this will include challenging sales forecast with the sales team to ensure accuracy and delivery whilst also working closely with production on cost control, WIP, stock control and supporting the manufacturing process to drive efficiencies.

This position will only suit a candidate working within a manufacturing environment as it is essential you have an understanding of accounting for stock, WIP, BOM's and generally how a manufacturing business operates.
This position will ideally suit a qualified candidate, either qualified ACCA / CIMA or qualified by experience - if you are actively studying, study support will be offered to qualified status. Salary for this role is up to £45,000, benefits are enhanced, hours are unique with early finishes and minimum late night working, totalling 37.5 hours a week.
