Credit Controller required for a business based in Ipswich on a 12-month Fixed-Term basis!
Compass Point Recruitment are working with a reputable business based in Ipswich and are currently seeking a Credit Controller to join the Head Office team on a fixed-term basis for up to 12 months.
This role involves managing the sales ledger and overseeing the credit control process. The successful candidate will be flexible, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement of the services and procedures.
Key
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the smooth running of the sales ledger.
• Prepare and issue invoices.
• Support managers and administrative staff in understanding and managing debt.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on outstanding debts across the business.
• Identify and implement system and procedural improvements.
• Deliver training to colleagues on credit control processes.
• Handle end-of-year accounting and audits.
• Conduct internal audits.
• Assist with purchase ledger, payroll queries, VAT returns, and other general finance tasks as needed.
About You:
• Minimum part AAT qualification.
• Experience in sales ledger and credit control
• Proficiency experience with accounting software.
• Commercially astute and business-focused.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, capable of interacting with a diverse range of contacts.
