An interim accountant is required for an ongoing assignment at one of Yorkshires fastest growing businesses. As a brand new position, the role has potential to become permanent for the right person.
As an Intercompany Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial processes across multiple entities. Your key responsibilities will include:
Invoice Processing: Ensure all entities process intercompany and pass-through invoices accurately and promptly.
Financial Accounting: Follow correct financial accounting principles and post to the accounting system to accurately reflect revenue taken by the trading divisions.
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile all intercompany accounts each period and follow up on any variances in a timely manner.
Operational Liaison: Actively liaise with operational teams to minimize invoice accruals and ensure client invoicing within agreed timescales.
Issue Resolution: Collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues and queries efficiently.
Customer Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with customers to meet their expectations regarding invoice and credit generation, including managing processes around consolidated invoices and portals, and being involved in the onboarding of new customers.
Invoice Monitoring: Ensure entities raise invoices in a timely manner and escalate when expectations are not met.
Reporting: Provide detailed reports for clients, internal teams, and stakeholders.
Group Cost Management: Ensure group costs are correctly recharged and invoiced/processed in a timely manner by liaising with the Group Finance team.
Collaboration: Work closely with Credit Control and Billing teams to ensure invoice accuracy, improve cash flow, and identify process failures.
