Our client, a leading player in the tobacco industry, is seeking a seasoned Finance Executive to join their dynamic team in Africa. The ideal candidate will bring extensive financial expertise, strategic thinking, and a solid understanding of the tobacco sector's unique challenges and opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement robust financial strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
• Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to ensure accurate financial planning.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and disclosures in compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local regulations.
• Maintain rigorous internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with all financial, tax, and statutory requirements.
• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.
• Optimize cash flow management to ensure liquidity and effective capital utilization.
• Collaborate with senior management and board of directors to provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
• Liaise with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and financial institutions to maintain strong professional relationships.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including currency, credit, and market risks.
• Implement and monitor risk management policies and procedures to protect company interests.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet evolving business needs.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record in strategic financial planning, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
