Job Description
Our client is a well-known retailer looking for a highly talented Accounts Payable Team Leader/Manager to join their Finance Team in Cape Town. They are a dynamic, hyper growth company seeking someone with AP experience at a very large scale.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, train and mentor a team of accounts payable specialists.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate processing of invoices, statement reconciliations and payments
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with vendors, negotiate payment terms and handle disputes effectively.
  • Ensure vendor accounts are reconciled accurately and resolutions are executed on for outstanding items
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance AP systems.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare detailed reports regarding AP metrics for senior management.
  • Monthly reporting on all Ballance sheet control

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Retail industry experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in AP software and systems
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
