Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join their team and play a key role in managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with financial records in accurate and effective manner in accordance with accounting standards and procedures.
  • Comply with internal controls that ensure accurate record keeping and the safe guarding of assets.
  • Make and implement recommendations for improvements were appropriate.
  • Ensure that the principles of good corporate governance are applied at all times.
  • Assist with clean and effective annual audit.
  • Ensure adherence to Group policies and procedures.
  • Identify, recommend solutions and implement improvements to processes and procedures including appropriate documentation.
  • Facilitate cash flow and cash flow forecasting.
  • Facilitate effective cost measurement and control.
  • Assist with financial analysis and insight for consideration in decision-making.
  • Assist with analysis and management accounting reporting to aid decision-making, new business acquisition, pricing and profitability reviews.
  • Assist with the divisions Cash Flows, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Reporting, Management.
  • Co-manage the financial department, promoting the achievement of planned team objectives and targets by ensuring that the finance team has a high performance culture.
  • Ensure that training and development needs are identified and actioned.
  • Contribute to a pro-active environment where the managers and subordinates take responsibility for results.
  • Ensure team diversity is embraced and that transformation is pro-actively driven.

Qualifications:
  • Relevant Financial qualification: B. Com / Degree.
  • 3 - 5 years' financial experience.
  • Advanced Excel.
  • Financial- and staff Management would be advantageous.
