The Company
My client is a privately held NZ family business with a large number of companies in their Group. The business has been operating for many years and has a lovely feel where people feel part of something special. The head office is based in Ellerslie and is a small close knit professional team that really do work together on common goals. My client is looking for someone to join the team who can be an integral member of the team for the long term. This role has arisen due the expansion of the business and you will working with one of the Directors of the business who is looking to have this report directly to him
The Role
The role of Senior Financial Accountant will have responsibility for the following:

To be considered for this role, we are looking for a professional accountant who can demonstrate previous experience ideally within a Business Advisory role. You will have your own companies to look after within the Group but then also be given ad hoc projects, for example feasibility studies, modelling etc.

The Role
The role of Senior Financial Accountant will have responsibility for the following:
- Preparation and presentation of management and financial accounts for various entities within the Group
- Produce financial projections and analysis to support strategic planning
- Ensure all legislative requirements are met for the various entities
- Maintain comprehensive policies, procedures & internal controls
- Support the management of the business risk, ensuring risks are documented and mitigated
- Conduct financial analysis and feasibility studies for strategic initiatives
- Lead the budgeting, financial forecasting and business planning processes
- Monitor performance against KPI's
- Develop cashflow projections to meeting operating needs
- Ensure all tax planning and compliance is completed, including partnering with third parties as required.
Your profile:
To be considered for this role, we are looking for a professional accountant who can demonstrate previous experience ideally within a Business Advisory role. - Experience in insurance or financial services would be advantageous.
