We are thrilled to announce a new and exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic finance team at ASDA Express. In this role you will partner and work with key stakeholders to enhance business performance through data-driven decision-making.

We are looking for a commercially focused self-starter with a pro-active approach to problem solving and achieving desired results. Given the role requirements, we need a strong analytical thinker who can identify business opportunities to enhance profitability through sales and margin improvement and cost reduction.

Please note that regular travel between our head offices in Blackburn and Leeds is required for this role.

Duties &

Responsibilities:


Responsible for preparing weekly and monthly commercial reports and dashboards.

Analyse profitability across sites and income streams, offering strategic recommendations.

Lead the budgeting and forecasting process to ensure financial accuracy.

Act as the primary contact for commercial reporting and analysis.

Utilise KPIs to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

Collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments to foster strong business partnerships.

Identify and address process gaps through cross-functional collaboration.

Utilise data analysis to innovate and optimize efficiency and profitability.

Provide support to senior management in driving informed decision-making.

Undertake additional ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

Finalist or Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.

Articulate and persuasive communicator with the ability to convey ideas clearly and forge positive relationships.

Ambitious and motivated individual who inspires others to achieve goals through visionary leadership and mentorship.

Comprehensive understanding of how the current and potential customer base supports the business strategy.

Recognised subject matter expert (SME), adept in leading project initiatives and presenting to senior stakeholders.

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software and utilise system knowledge to create detailed and specific reports.

Excellent organisational abilities.

As the convenience arm of Asda, Asda Express is supporting Asdas ambition to become the UKs second largest grocery retailer by moving into the fast-growing £40bn convenience market. Asda Express will also help to bring Asdas value pricing closer to millions of customers.

Following the acquisition of convenience sites from the Co-op Group and EG Group during the last two years, there are circa 470 stores which are in the process of being converted to Asda Express. Each store stocks up to 3,000 branded and own-label products to suit a broad range of customer needs including top up shops for essential items such as milk and bread, grabbing lunch on the go or cooking dinner from scratch.
