As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with customer, sales and management.
  • Monitoring customer accounts to minimize or rectify non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
  • Providing excellent customer service while proactively researching and resolving any billing issues.
  • Proactively pursuing delinquent customer accounts
  • Processing payments, refunds, and adjustments to customer accounts
  • Maintaining and reconciling accounts receivable ledger.
  • Reporting on overdue and delinquent accounts on a timely basis in line with agreed benchmarks
  • Assisting in ad-hoc customer billing for rebillables
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required by the Accounts Receivable team.


Processes & Procedures

  • Liaise and resolve questions from internal and external stakeholders maintaining strong effective relationships.
  • Act in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Produce own correspondence, emails and field enquiries.
  • Deal with email and phone questions in a timely, accurate and courteous and professional manner


Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of accounts receivable and how a Finance department operates.
  • Knowledge of Sage Intacct accounting package would be an asset but ability to learn an accounting package would be required.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and have attention to detail.
  • Plans and prioritizes work effectively, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, in accordance with accounting principles, regulations and internal procedures.
  • Motivated with a can-do attitude.
