Job Description
I have a client in the agricultural sector in the Stellenbosch Winelands who is in need of an Interim Accountant / Financial Controller (initially a 3 month contract) to support their business during a transitional period. Operations include food and beverage manufacturing for distribution and export, hospitality and retail, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial controlling and experience in the agriculture, food/beverage production, or import/export sector.

Responsibilities:

• Manage financial reporting and analysis
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Support the month-end and year-end close process
• Conduct financial control and risk management activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives
• Assist in the implementation of new financial systems or processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Strong financial control skills
• Experience in the agriculture, food/beverage production, or import/export sector
• Knowledge of accounting software and systems
• Must be able to work in office in the Stellenbosch Winelands
• Must be immediately avilable and willing to commit to a fixed term contract
