Job title: Financial accountant
Contract: Initially 9-month fixed-term contract role
Location: Bristol (Hybrid)
This is a hybrid position primarily based in Bristol. We're committed to your flexibility and wellbeing and our hybrid strategy currently requires three days a week in the office, giving you the option to work remotely for some of your working week.

The role:This position works as part of the group finance team, sharing information amongst local and global team members. The financial accountant is expected to meet critical time constraints and recognise the impact of individual performance upon team and company performance.

Key ResponsibilitiesInterim Financial Accountant responsibilities include assisting with delivery of the month-end close process, reporting to Group finance. The Financial Accountant also supports the audit process by providing supporting evidence and documenting accounting positions. In addition, you would:

  • Review accounting entries and balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the transactional accounting team.
  • Assist with the preparation of certain balance sheet reconciliations including liaison with other stakeholders in the business.
  • Contribute to both regional and group-wide ad hoc projects, including continuous improvements, group initiatives and participation in transformation activity where required.
  • Maintain appropriate controls in the reporting process and put forward ideas for process, policy, and control improvements.
  • Responding to ad-hoc requests in areas related to reporting and financial control, deploying accounting and reporting expertise.


Key Skills:

  • Qualified Accountant, ACA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards; further on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Experience of Oracle ERP would be beneficial.
  • Experience of preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
