Introduction
A hospital within the private sector is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage all the accounting functions for the hospital and the pharmacy.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the full accounting function for the hospital and pharmacy. (There is a dedicated Creditors Clerk, who reports to the FM and a Debtors Clerk reporting into sales.)
• All processing to trial balance.
• Drafting, analysing and commenting on management accounts for review.
• Processing of debtors and creditors
• Accurate financial reporting & analysis.
• All bank related activities.
• Monthly Creditors Reconciliations review and approval.
• Processing of month-end journals and statistics.
• Preparing of month-end reconciliations for all Balance Sheet General Ledger accounts.
• Preparation of Audit files and liaison with external auditors.
• Assist in ad-hoc Finance projects.
• Effective Cash flow forecasting.
• Effective governance and risk management.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Matric / Grade 12
• Degree / Diploma in finance or accounting.
• Acute / multidisciplinary hospital experience essential
• Fully Computer Literate (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience in dealing with credit and debtors control.
• Good Communication Skills.
• Experience within the Medical Industry an Advantage.
• Experience in an acute / multidisciplinary hospital a requirement.
