The VP of Finance serves as a financial thought leader within the company, ensuring alignment of financial management with the organization's overarching mission and hotel industry standards, and driving continuous improvement in financial processes and controls.
Required Skills And Experience:
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting CPA required 10+ years of progressive finance experience specifically within the hotel industry Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and internal controls, with a focus on applications within the hotel field

for this role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive
understanding of the unique financial dynamics and requirements of the
hotel industry, leveraging this expertise to contribute meaningfully to
the organization's success.
Responsibilities include:
Leading a dynamic accounting team in their daily operations and professional growth within both hotel and corporate accounting spheres Collaborating with executive management to set financial targets aligned with the organization's strategic goals, reflecting a deep understanding of the hotel industry Establishing and maintaining relationships with financial institutions to secure optimal banking services and financing arrangements specific to the needs of the hotel sector Implementing proactive cash management strategies within the hotel context to optimize liquidity and support organizational needs Crafting, executing, and revising detailed annual budgets in collaboration with hotel department heads, reflecting the organization's short-term objectives and long-term vision within the industry
Requirements
Required Skills And Experience
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required CPA required 10+ years of progressive finance experience Experience in the hospitality field is preferred but not required M3 accounting experience preferred but not required Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and internal controls is required Strong knowledge of GAAP, modified cash basis, and cash basis accounting Ability to evaluate, analyze, and prioritize data in various forms and formats Self-Starter with the ability to work independently and as a team Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where priorities are consistently changing Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include, but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook High level of flexibility regarding hours worked during month-end and busy periods as required by the business
